“If the Hoff was a god…What Would he do first?”
When you think of David Hasselhoff, you might not think of a message board that is equal parts support group for eating disorders and soapbox for rants about Knight Rider. Or you might. He calls it HoffSpace, the only social network held together by the incredible gravity that is David Hasselhoff’s narcissism. He’s more popular in my fatherland than I will ever be, and that says something.
In hindsight, I think the intro to Knight Rider was the most attractive thing about it. The music was so good, KITT was featured in more shots than David, and the voice? Classic. I remember being bored by the show. The car sequences were good, but then everything in between them didn’t interest me. I don’t think it would now either. A-Team fits the stupendous intro, dull show category too. Probably holds true for a lot of television I watched when I was a kid. Even Quantum Leap had a better intro than show and I think that was a great show. I’m easily fooled by first impressions. And I didn’t have cable growing up.
