Japanther & Spank Rock “Radical Businessman” (HD)

This is my new music video. We filmed on the roof of my building and at Fort Tilden beach exactly 1 year ago, last October. Ian and Matt (Japanther) were about to move to California, so I knew it would be the last chance for a while to make a video. Asa and I spent a week painting the mural, and got it done at 5am the night before the shoot (the same day they were leaving for tour!). Even on 2 hours sleep it was amazing to wake up to the nicest day in weeks. So lucky. I don’t even think I did the best job capuring it, but the day itself was such a good time, hanging out with Darryl and Jared and everyone. It felt a little crazy with all the cameras at the beach, but I think it’s just a part of living in 2009.

It took till July this year to film with Naeem (Spank Rock), but it was so worth the wait. Before shooting with him, the video was fun, but felt a little detached from the song. Now I think it feels just right, thanks to everyone’s hard work.
